Supplications for every moment

أَصْبَحْنَا وَأَصْبَحَ الْمُلْكُ لِلَّهِ وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ، لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ

Asbahna wa asbahal-mulku lillah, walhamdu lillah, la ilaha illallahu wahdahu la shareeka lah, lahul-mulku wa lahul-hamdu wa huwa 'ala kulli shay'in qadeer

We have reached the morning and at this very time the whole kingdom belongs to Allah. All praise is due to Allah. None has the right to be worshipped except Allah, alone, without partner. To Him belongs all sovereignty and praise, and He is over all things omnipotent.

اللَّهُمَّ أَنْتَ رَبِّي لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ خَلَقْتَنِي وَأَنَا عَبْدُكَ وَأَنَا عَلَى عَهْدِكَ وَوَعْدِكَ مَا اسْتَطَعْتُ أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا صَنَعْتُ أَبُوءُ لَكَ بِنِعْمَتِكَ عَلَيَّ وَأَبُوءُ بِذَنْبِي فَاغْفِرْ لِي فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَغْفِرُ الذُّنُوبَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ

Allahumma anta rabbi la ilaha illa anta, khalaqtani wa ana 'abduka, wa ana 'ala 'ahdika wa wa'dika mastata'tu, a'udhu bika min sharri ma sana'tu, abu'u laka bini'matika 'alayya, wa abu'u bidhanbi, faghfir li, fa innahu la yaghfirudh-dhunuba illa anta

O Allah, You are my Lord, none has the right to be worshipped except You. You created me and I am Your servant, and I abide by Your covenant and promise as best I can. I seek refuge in You from the evil of what I have done. I acknowledge Your favour upon me, and I acknowledge my sin, so forgive me, for verily none can forgive sins except You.

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الَّذِي لَا يَضُرُّ مَعَ اسْمِهِ شَيْءٌ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَلَا فِي السَّمَاءِ وَهُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ

Bismillahilladhi la yadurru ma'asmihi shay'un fil-ardi wa la fis-sama'i wa huwas-sami'ul-'aleem

In the name of Allah, with whose name nothing can cause harm in the earth or in the heavens, and He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing.

أَمْسَيْنَا وَأَمْسَى الْمُلْكُ لِلَّهِ وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ، لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ

Amsayna wa amsal-mulku lillah walhamdu lillah, la ilaha illallahu wahdahu la shareeka lah, lahul-mulku wa lahul-hamdu wa huwa 'ala kulli shay'in qadeer

We have reached the evening and at this very time the whole kingdom belongs to Allah. All praise is due to Allah. None has the right to be worshipped except Allah, alone, without partner. To Him belongs all sovereignty and praise, and He is over all things omnipotent.

أَعُوذُ بِكَلِمَاتِ اللَّهِ التَّامَّاتِ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ

A'udhu bikalimatillahit-tammati min sharri ma khalaq

I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from the evil of what He has created.

سُبْحَانَكَ اللَّهُمَّ وَبِحَمْدِكَ وَتَبَارَكَ اسْمُكَ وَتَعَالَى جَدُّكَ وَلَا إِلَهَ غَيْرُكَ

Subhanakallahumma wa bihamdika wa tabarakasmuka wa ta'ala jadduka wa la ilaha ghairuk

Glory be to You, O Allah, and all praises are due unto You, and blessed is Your name, and exalted is Your majesty, and there is no deity worthy of worship except You.

رَبِّ اغْفِرْ لِي رَبِّ اغْفِرْ لِي

Rabbighfir li, Rabbighfir li

My Lord, forgive me. My Lord, forgive me.

سُبْحَانَ رَبِّيَ الْأَعْلَى

Subhana Rabbiyal-A'la

Glory is to my Lord, the Most High.

أَسْتَغْفِرُ اللَّهَ

Astaghfirullah

I seek forgiveness from Allah.

سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ

SubhanAllah

Glory be to Allah.

الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ

Alhamdulillah

All praise is due to Allah.

اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ

Allahu Akbar

Allah is the Greatest.

اللَّهُ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا هُوَ الْحَيُّ الْقَيُّومُ ۚ لَا تَأْخُذُهُ سِنَةٌ وَلَا نَوْمٌ ۚ لَهُ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الْأَرْضِ ۗ مَنْ ذَا الَّذِي يَشْفَعُ عِنْدَهُ إِلَّا بِإِذْنِهِ ۚ يَعْلَمُ مَا بَيْنَ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَمَا خَلْفَهُمْ ۖ وَلَا يُحِيطُونَ بِشَيْءٍ مِنْ عِلْمِهِ إِلَّا بِمَا شَاءَ ۚ وَسِعَ كُرْسِيُّهُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ ۖ وَلَا يَئُودُهُ حِفْظُهُمَا ۚ وَهُوَ الْعَلِيُّ الْعَظِيمُ

Allāhu lā ilāha illā Huwa, al-Ḥayyul-Qayyūm. Lā ta'khudhuhu sinatun wa lā nawm. Lahu mā fis-samāwāti wa mā fil-arḍ. Man dhal-ladhī yashfa'u 'indahu illā bi-idhnih? Ya'lamu mā bayna aydīhim wa mā khalfahum, wa lā yuḥīṭūna bi-shay'in min 'ilmihi illā bimā shā'. Wasi'a kursiyyuhus-samāwāti wal-arḍ, wa lā ya'ūduhu ḥifẓuhumā, wa Huwal-'Aliyyul-'Aẓīm.

Allah ﷻ—there is no deity except Him, the Ever-Living, the Sustainer of all. Neither drowsiness nor sleep overtakes Him. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. Who could intercede with Him without His permission? He knows what is before them and what is behind them, but they cannot grasp any of His knowledge except what He wills. His Seat encompasses the heavens and the earth, and preserving them does not tire Him. He is the Most High, the Most Great.

بِاسْمِكَ اللَّهُمَّ أَمُوتُ وَأَحْيَا

Bismika Allahumma amutu wa ahya

In Your name, O Allah, I die and I live.

الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي أَحْيَانَا بَعْدَ مَا أَمَاتَنَا وَإِلَيْهِ النُّشُورُ

Alhamdu lillahilladhi ahyana ba'da ma amatana wa ilaihin-nushur

All praise is for Allah who gave us life after having taken it from us, and unto Him is the resurrection.

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ

Bismillah

In the name of Allah.

الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي أَطْعَمَنِي هَذَا وَرَزَقَنِيهِ مِنْ غَيْرِ حَوْلٍ مِنِّي وَلَا قُوَّةٍ

Alhamdu lillahilladhi at'amani hadha wa razaqanihi min ghayri hawlin minni wa la quwwah

All praise is for Allah who fed me this and provided it for me without any might or power from myself.

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ أَوَّلَهُ وَآخِرَهُ

Bismillahi awwalahu wa akhirah

In the name of Allah at its beginning and at its end.

سُبْحَانَ الَّذِي سَخَّرَ لَنَا هَذَا وَمَا كُنَّا لَهُ مُقْرِنِينَ وَإِنَّا إِلَى رَبِّنَا لَمُنْقَلِبُونَ

Subhanal-ladhi sakh-khara lana hadha wa ma kunna lahu muqrinin wa inna ila Rabbina lamunqalibun

Glory to Him who has subjected this to us, and we could never have it by our efforts, and verily to our Lord we shall return.

اللَّهُمَّ رَبَّ السَّمَوَاتِ السَّبْعِ وَمَا أَظْلَلْنَ وَرَبَّ الْأَرَضِينَ السَّبْعِ وَمَا أَقْلَلْنَ وَرَبَّ الشَّيَاطِينِ وَمَا أَضْلَلْنَ وَرَبَّ الرِّيَاحِ وَمَا ذَرَيْنَ أَسْأَلُكَ خَيْرَ هَذِهِ الْقَرْيَةِ وَخَيْرَ أَهْلِهَا وَخَيْرَ مَا فِيهَا وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّهَا وَشَرِّ أَهْلِهَا وَشَرِّ مَا فِيهَا

Allahumma Rabbas-samawatis-sab'i wa ma adhlalna, wa Rabbal-aradeenas-sab'i wa ma aqlalna, wa Rabbash-shayateeni wa ma adlalna, wa Rabbar-riyahi wa ma dharayna, as'aluka khayra hadhihil-qaryati wa khayra ahliha wa khayra ma fiha, wa a'udhu bika min sharriha wa sharri ahliha wa sharri ma fiha

O Allah, Lord of the seven heavens and all that they envelop, Lord of the seven earths and all that they carry, Lord of the devils and all whom they misguide, Lord of the winds and all whom they whisk away. I ask You for the goodness of this town, the goodness of its people and the goodness of what is in it. I seek refuge in You from its evil, the evil of its people and the evil of what is in it.

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ تَوَكَّلْتُ عَلَى اللَّهِ وَلَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللَّهِ

Bismillah, tawakkaltu 'alallah, wa la hawla wa la quwwata illa billah

In the name of Allah, I place my trust in Allah, and there is no might nor power except with Allah.

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ وَلَجْنَا وَبِسْمِ اللَّهِ خَرَجْنَا وَعَلَى اللَّهِ رَبِّنَا تَوَكَّلْنَا

Bismillahi walajna, wa bismillahi kharajna, wa 'ala Allahi Rabbina tawakkalna

In the name of Allah we enter, in the name of Allah we leave, and upon our Lord we place our trust.

اللَّهُمَّ افْتَحْ لِي أَبْوَابَ رَحْمَتِكَ

Allahummaf-tah li abwaba rahmatik

O Allah, open for me the doors of Your mercy.

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ فَضْلِكَ

Allahumma inni as'aluka min fadlik

O Allah, I ask You from Your favour.

لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ الْعَظِيمُ الْحَلِيمُ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ رَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيمِ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ رَبُّ السَّمَوَاتِ وَرَبُّ الْأَرْضِ وَرَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْكَرِيمِ

La ilaha illallahul-'Adheemul-Haleem, la ilaha illallahu Rabbul-'Arshil-'Adheem, la ilaha illallahu Rabbus-samawati wa Rabbul-ardi wa Rabbul-'Arshil-Kareem

None has the right to be worshipped except Allah, the Mighty, the Forbearing. None has the right to be worshipped except Allah, Lord of the magnificent throne. None has the right to be worshipped except Allah, Lord of the heavens, Lord of the earth, and Lord of the noble throne.

لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ سُبْحَانَكَ إِنِّي كُنْتُ مِنَ الظَّالِمِينَ

La ilaha illa anta subhanaka inni kuntu minadh-dhalimeen

There is no deity except You; exalted are You. Indeed, I have been of the wrongdoers.

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْهَمِّ وَالْحَزَنِ وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْعَجْزِ وَالْكَسَلِ وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْجُبْنِ وَالْبُخْلِ وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ غَلَبَةِ الدَّيْنِ وَقَهْرِ الرِّجَالِ

Allahumma inni a'udhu bika minal-hammi wal-hazani, wa a'udhu bika minal-'ajzi wal-kasali, wa a'udhu bika minal-jubni wal-bukhli, wa a'udhu bika min ghalabatid-dayni wa qahrir-rijal

O Allah, I seek refuge in You from worry and grief, from helplessness and laziness, from cowardice and miserliness, from being overwhelmed by debt and overpowered by men.

أَسْتَغْفِرُ اللَّهَ الْعَظِيمَ الَّذِي لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا هُوَ الْحَيُّ الْقَيُّومُ وَأَتُوبُ إِلَيْهِ

Astaghfirullaha al-'Adheem alladhi la ilaha illa Huwal-Hayyul-Qayyum wa atubu ilayh

I seek the forgiveness of Allah the Mighty, whom there is none worthy of worship except Him, the Living, the Sustainer, and I repent to Him.

رَبَّنَا ظَلَمْنَا أَنْفُسَنَا وَإِنْ لَمْ تَغْفِرْ لَنَا وَتَرْحَمْنَا لَنَكُونَنَّ مِنَ الْخَاسِرِينَ

Rabbana dhalamna anfusana wa in lam taghfir lana wa tarhamna lanakoonanna minal-khasireen

Our Lord, we have wronged ourselves, and if You do not forgive us and have mercy upon us, we will surely be among the losers.

لَا بَأْسَ طَهُورٌ إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ

La ba'sa tahurun insha'Allah

No harm, it is a purification, if Allah wills.

اللَّهُمَّ رَبَّ النَّاسِ أَذْهِبِ الْبَأْسَ اشْفِ أَنْتَ الشَّافِي لَا شِفَاءَ إِلَّا شِفَاؤُكَ شِفَاءً لَا يُغَادِرُ سَقَمًا

Allahumma Rabban-nasi, adhibil-ba'sa, ishfi antash-Shafi, la shifa'a illa shifa'uka, shifa'an la yughadiru saqama

O Allah, Lord of mankind, remove the affliction. Cure, for You are the One who cures. There is no cure except Your cure, a cure that leaves no illness behind.

اللَّهُمَّ صَيِّبًا نَافِعًا

Allahumma sayyiban nafi'a

O Allah, let it be a beneficial rain.

مُطِرْنَا بِفَضْلِ اللَّهِ وَرَحْمَتِهِ

Mutirna bifadlillahi wa rahmatihi

We have been given rain by the grace and mercy of Allah.

سُبْحَانَ الَّذِي يُسَبِّحُ الرَّعْدُ بِحَمْدِهِ وَالْمَلَائِكَةُ مِنْ خِيفَتِهِ

Subhanal-ladhi yusabbihur-ra'du bihamdihi wal-mala'ikatu min khifatihi

Glory be to Him whom the thunder glorifies with His praise, and the angels out of fear of Him.

رَبِّ زِدْنِي عِلْمًا

Rabbi zidni 'ilma

My Lord, increase me in knowledge.

رَبِّ ارْحَمْهُمَا كَمَا رَبَّيَانِي صَغِيرًا

Rabbir-hamhuma kama rabbayani sagheera

My Lord, have mercy upon them as they brought me up when I was small.

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْتَخِيرُكَ بِعِلْمِكَ، وَأَسْتَقْدِرُكَ بِقُدْرَتِكَ، وَأَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ فَضْلِكَ الْعَظِيمِ، فَإِنَّكَ تَقْدِرُ وَلَا أَقْدِرُ، وَتَعْلَمُ وَلَا أَعْلَمُ، وَأَنْتَ عَلَّامُ الْغُيُوبِ. اللَّهُمَّ إِنْ كُنْتَ تَعْلَمُ أَنَّ هَذَا الْأَمْرَ خَيْرٌ لِي فِي دِينِي وَمَعَاشِي وَعَاقِبَةِ أَمْرِي، فَاقْدُرْهُ لِي وَيَسِّرْهُ لِي ثُمَّ بَارِكْ لِي فِيهِ، وَإِنْ كُنْتَ تَعْلَمُ أَنَّ هَذَا الْأَمْرَ شَرٌّ لِي فِي دِينِي وَمَعَاشِي وَعَاقِبَةِ أَمْرِي، فَاصْرِفْهُ عَنِّي وَاصْرِفْنِي عَنْهُ، وَاقْدُرْ لِيَ الْخَيْرَ حَيْثُ كَانَ ثُمَّ أَرْضِنِي بِهِ

Allāhumma innī astakhīruka bi'ilmik, wa astaqdiruka biqudratik, wa as'aluka min faḍlikal-'aẓīm. Fa-innaka taqdiru wa lā aqdir, wa ta'lamu wa lā a'lam, wa Anta 'Allāmul-ghuyūb. Allāhumma in kunta ta'lamu anna hādhal-amra khayrun lī fī dīnī wa ma'āshī wa 'āqibati amrī, faqdurhu lī wa yassirhu lī thumma bārik lī fīh. Wa in kunta ta'lamu anna hādhal-amra sharrun lī fī dīnī wa ma'āshī wa 'āqibati amrī, faṣrifhu 'annī waṣrifnī 'anhu, waqdur liyal-khayra ḥaythu kāna thumma arḍinī bih.

O Allah ﷻ, I seek the better choice through Your knowledge and seek ability through Your power, and I ask You from Your immense favour. You are able and I am not; You know and I do not; You know all unseen things. O Allah ﷻ, if You know this matter to be good for my religion, livelihood and final outcome, decree it for me, make it easy for me and bless it for me. If You know it to be bad for my religion, livelihood and final outcome, turn it away from me and turn me away from it. Decree good for me wherever it may be, then make me content with it.

الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ

Alhamdu lillahi Rabbil-'alameen

All praise is due to Allah, Lord of all the worlds.

أَعُوذُ بِكَلِمَاتِ اللَّهِ التَّامَّةِ مِنْ كُلِّ شَيْطَانٍ وَهَامَّةٍ وَمِنْ كُلِّ عَيْنٍ لَامَّةٍ

A'udhu bikalimatillahit-tammati min kulli shaytanin wa hammatin wa min kulli 'aynin lammah

I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from every devil and every poisonous reptile, and from every evil eye.

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ

Bismillah

In the name of Allah.

أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُهُ وَرَسُولُهُ

Ash-hadu an la ilaha illallahu wahdahu la shareeka lahu wa ash-hadu anna Muhammadan 'abduhu wa rasuluh

I bear witness that there is no deity worthy of worship except Allah alone, with no partner, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His slave and messenger.

اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْنِي مِنَ التَّوَّابِينَ وَاجْعَلْنِي مِنَ الْمُتَطَهِّرِينَ

Allahumma-j'alni minat-tawwabina waj'alni minal-mutatahhirin

O Allah, make me among those who repent and make me among those who purify themselves.

الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي كَسَانِي هَذَا وَرَزَقَنِيهِ مِنْ غَيْرِ حَوْلٍ مِنِّي وَلَا قُوَّةٍ

Alhamdu lillahilladhi kasani hadha wa razaqanihi min ghayri hawlin minni wa la quwwah

All praise is for Allah who clothed me with this and provided it for me without any might or power from myself.

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ

Bismillah

In the name of Allah.

سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ وَبِحَمْدِهِ

SubhanAllahi wa bihamdih

Glory be to Allah and all praise is His. (Whoever says this 100 times in the morning and evening, no one will come on the Day of Resurrection with a better deed.)

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ قُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ ۝ اللَّهُ الصَّمَدُ ۝ لَمْ يَلِدْ وَلَمْ يُولَدْ ۝ وَلَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ كُفُوًا أَحَدٌ ۝ بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ الْفَلَقِ ۝ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ ۝ وَمِنْ شَرِّ غَاسِقٍ إِذَا وَقَبَ ۝ وَمِنْ شَرِّ النَّفَّاثَاتِ فِي الْعُقَدِ ۝ وَمِنْ شَرِّ حَاسِدٍ إِذَا حَسَدَ ۝ بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ النَّاسِ ۝ مَلِكِ النَّاسِ ۝ إِلَهِ النَّاسِ ۝ مِنْ شَرِّ الْوَسْوَاسِ الْخَنَّاسِ ۝ الَّذِي يُوَسْوِسُ فِي صُدُورِ النَّاسِ ۝ مِنَ الْجِنَّةِ وَالنَّاسِ

In the name of Allah ﷻ, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful. Say: He is Allah ﷻ—One; Allah ﷻ, the Self-Sufficient. He has never had offspring, nor was He born, and none is comparable to Him. In the name of Allah ﷻ, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful. Say: I seek refuge in the Lord of daybreak from the evil of what He created, from the evil of the night when it grows dark, from the evil of those who blow on knots, and from the evil of an envier when they envy. In the name of Allah ﷻ, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful. Say: I seek refuge in the Lord of humankind, the King of humankind, the God of humankind, from the evil of the lurking whisperer who whispers into the hearts of humankind—from among jinn and humankind.

اللَّهُمَّ بِكَ أَصْبَحْنَا وَبِكَ أَمْسَيْنَا وَبِكَ نَحْيَا وَبِكَ نَمُوتُ وَإِلَيْكَ النُّشُورُ

Allahumma bika asbahna wa bika amsayna wa bika nahya wa bika namutu wa ilaykan-nushur

O Allah, by You we enter the morning and by You we enter the evening, by You we live and by You we die, and to You is the resurrection.

اللَّهُمَّ بِكَ أَمْسَيْنَا وَبِكَ أَصْبَحْنَا وَبِكَ نَحْيَا وَبِكَ نَمُوتُ وَإِلَيْكَ الْمَصِيرُ

Allahumma bika amsayna wa bika asbahna wa bika nahya wa bika namutu wa ilaykal-masir

O Allah, by You we enter the evening and by You we enter the morning, by You we live and by You we die, and to You is the return.

أَسْتَغْفِرُ اللَّهَ وَأَتُوبُ إِلَيْهِ

Astaghfirullaha wa atubu ilayh

I seek the forgiveness of Allah and I repent to Him.

سُبْحَانَ رَبِّيَ الْعَظِيمِ

Subhana Rabbiyal-'Adheem

Glory is to my Lord, the Most Great.

رَبَّنَا وَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ حَمْدًا كَثِيرًا طَيِّبًا مُبَارَكًا فِيهِ

Rabbana wa lakal-hamdu hamdan kathiran tayyiban mubarakan fih

Our Lord, and to You is all praise, abundant, pure and blessed praise.

التَّحِيَّاتُ لِلَّهِ وَالصَّلَوَاتُ وَالطَّيِّبَاتُ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ أَيُّهَا النَّبِيُّ وَرَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْنَا وَعَلَى عِبَادِ اللَّهِ الصَّالِحِينَ أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُهُ وَرَسُولُهُ

At-tahiyyatu lillahi was-salawatu wat-tayyibat, as-salamu 'alayka ayyuhan-nabiyyu wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh, as-salamu 'alayna wa 'ala 'ibadillahis-salihin, ash-hadu an la ilaha illallah wa ash-hadu anna Muhammadan 'abduhu wa rasuluh

All greetings, prayers and good things are for Allah. Peace be upon you, O Prophet, and the mercy of Allah and His blessings. Peace be upon us and upon the righteous servants of Allah. I bear witness that there is no deity worthy of worship except Allah, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His slave and messenger.

اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَى آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ كَمَا صَلَّيْتَ عَلَى إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَعَلَى آلِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ إِنَّكَ حَمِيدٌ مَجِيدٌ اللَّهُمَّ بَارِكْ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَى آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ كَمَا بَارَكْتَ عَلَى إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَعَلَى آلِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ إِنَّكَ حَمِيدٌ مَجِيدٌ

Allahumma salli 'ala Muhammadin wa 'ala ali Muhammadin kama sallayta 'ala Ibrahima wa 'ala ali Ibrahima innaka Hamidun Majid, Allahumma barik 'ala Muhammadin wa 'ala ali Muhammadin kama barakta 'ala Ibrahima wa 'ala ali Ibrahima innaka Hamidun Majid

O Allah, send prayers upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, as You sent prayers upon Ibrahim and the family of Ibrahim. You are indeed Praiseworthy, Glorious. O Allah, bless Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, as You blessed Ibrahim and the family of Ibrahim. You are indeed Praiseworthy, Glorious.

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ عَذَابِ الْقَبْرِ وَمِنْ عَذَابِ النَّارِ وَمِنْ فِتْنَةِ الْمَحْيَا وَالْمَمَاتِ وَمِنْ شَرِّ فِتْنَةِ الْمَسِيحِ الدَّجَّالِ

Allahumma inni a'udhu bika min 'adhabil-qabri wa min 'adhabin-nar, wa min fitnatil-mahya wal-mamat, wa min sharri fitnatil-masihid-dajjal

O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the punishment of the grave, from the punishment of the fire, from the trials of life and death, and from the evil of the trial of the False Messiah.

لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ يُحْيِي وَيُمِيتُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ

La ilaha illallahu wahdahu la shareeka lah, lahul-mulku wa lahul-hamdu yuhyi wa yumitu wa huwa 'ala kulli shay'in qadir

None has the right to be worshipped except Allah, alone, with no partner. To Him belongs all sovereignty and all praise. He gives life and causes death, and He is over all things omnipotent.

رَبَّنَا آتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً وَفِي الْآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً وَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ

Rabbana atina fid-dunya hasanatan wa fil-akhirati hasanatan wa qina 'adhaban-nar

Our Lord, give us good in this world and good in the next, and protect us from the punishment of the Fire.

اللَّهُمَّ أَعِنِّي عَلَى ذِكْرِكَ وَشُكْرِكَ وَحُسْنِ عِبَادَتِكَ

Allahumma a'inni 'ala dhikrika wa shukrika wa husni 'ibadatik

O Allah, help me to remember You, to be grateful to You, and to worship You in an excellent manner.

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ قُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ ۝ اللَّهُ الصَّمَدُ ۝ لَمْ يَلِدْ وَلَمْ يُولَدْ ۝ وَلَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ كُفُوًا أَحَدٌ ۝ بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ الْفَلَقِ ۝ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ ۝ وَمِنْ شَرِّ غَاسِقٍ إِذَا وَقَبَ ۝ وَمِنْ شَرِّ النَّفَّاثَاتِ فِي الْعُقَدِ ۝ وَمِنْ شَرِّ حَاسِدٍ إِذَا حَسَدَ ۝ بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ النَّاسِ ۝ مَلِكِ النَّاسِ ۝ إِلَهِ النَّاسِ ۝ مِنْ شَرِّ الْوَسْوَاسِ الْخَنَّاسِ ۝ الَّذِي يُوَسْوِسُ فِي صُدُورِ النَّاسِ ۝ مِنَ الْجِنَّةِ وَالنَّاسِ

In the name of Allah ﷻ, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful. Say: He is Allah ﷻ—One; Allah ﷻ, the Self-Sufficient. He has never had offspring, nor was He born, and none is comparable to Him. In the name of Allah ﷻ, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful. Say: I seek refuge in the Lord of daybreak from the evil of what He created, from the evil of the night when it grows dark, from the evil of those who blow on knots, and from the evil of an envier when they envy. In the name of Allah ﷻ, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful. Say: I seek refuge in the Lord of humankind, the King of humankind, the God of humankind, from the evil of the lurking whisperer who whispers into the hearts of humankind—from among jinn and humankind.

أَعُوذُ بِاللَّهِ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيمِ

A'udhu billahi minash-shaytanir-rajeem

I seek refuge in Allah from the accursed devil. (Spit lightly to the left three times and turn over to the other side upon seeing a bad dream.)

لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ وَلَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَاللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ وَلَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللَّهِ

La ilaha illallahu wahdahu la shareeka lah, lahul-mulku wa lahul-hamdu wa huwa 'ala kulli shay'in qadir, SubhanAllahi wal-hamdu lillahi wa la ilaha illallahu wallahu akbar wa la hawla wa la quwwata illa billah

None has the right to be worshipped except Allah, alone, with no partner. To Him belongs all sovereignty and all praise, and He is over all things omnipotent. Glory be to Allah, all praise is due to Allah, none has the right to be worshipped except Allah, Allah is the Greatest, and there is no might or power except with Allah.

الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ

Alhamdulillah

All praise is due to Allah. (Upon seeing a good dream, praise Allah and tell those you love. Do not tell it to those who may be envious.)

ذَهَبَ الظَّمَأُ، وَابْتَلَّتِ الْعُرُوقُ، وَثَبَتَ الْأَجْرُ إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ

Dhahabaẓ-ẓama'u, wabtallatil-'urūqu, wa thabatal-ajru in shā' Allāh.

The thirst has gone, the veins are moistened, and the reward is assured, if Allah ﷻ wills.

اللَّهُمَّ أَطْعِمْ مَنْ أَطْعَمَنِي وَاسْقِ مَنْ سَقَانِي

Allahumma at'im man at'amani wasqi man saqani

O Allah, feed the one who has fed me, and give drink to the one who has given me drink.

أَفْطَرَ عِنْدَكُمُ الصَّائِمُونَ وَأَكَلَ طَعَامَكُمُ الْأَبْرَارُ وَصَلَّتْ عَلَيْكُمُ الْمَلَائِكَةُ

Aftara 'indakumus-sa'imuna wa akala ta'amakumul-abrar wa sallat 'alaykumul-mala'ikah

May the fasting break their fast with you, may the righteous eat your food, and may the angels send blessings upon you.

أَعُوذُ بِكَلِمَاتِ اللَّهِ التَّامَّاتِ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ

A'udhu bikalimatillahit-tammati min sharri ma khalaq

I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from the evil of what He has created. (Whoever says this when stopping at a place will not be harmed until he leaves.)

آيِبُونَ تَائِبُونَ عَابِدُونَ لِرَبِّنَا حَامِدُونَ

Ayibuna ta'ibuna 'abiduna li Rabbina hamidun

We return, repent, worship and praise our Lord.

أَسْتَوْدِعُ اللَّهَ دِينَكَ وَأَمَانَتَكَ وَخَوَاتِيمَ عَمَلِكَ

Astawdi'ullah dinaka wa amanataka wa khawatima 'amalik

I entrust Allah with your religion, your trust, and the ends of your deeds.

اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّا نَسْأَلُكَ فِي سَفَرِنَا هَذَا الْبِرَّ وَالتَّقْوَى وَمِنَ الْعَمَلِ مَا تَرْضَى

Allahumma inna nas'aluka fi safarina hadhal-birra wat-taqwa wa minal-'amali ma tarda

O Allah, we ask You on this journey of ours for righteousness and piety, and for deeds that are pleasing to You.

اللَّهُمَّ رَبَّ هَذِهِ الدَّعْوَةِ التَّامَّةِ وَالصَّلَاةِ الْقَائِمَةِ آتِ مُحَمَّدًا الْوَسِيلَةَ وَالْفَضِيلَةَ وَابْعَثْهُ مَقَامًا مَحْمُودًا الَّذِي وَعَدْتَهُ

Allahumma Rabba hadhihid-da'watit-tammati was-salatil-qa'ima, ati Muhammadanil-wasilata wal-fadilata wab'ath-hu maqaman mahmudanil-ladhi wa'adtah

O Allah, Lord of this perfect call and the prayer that is to come, grant Muhammad the privilege and the distinction, and raise him to a praised station that You have promised him.

رَبِّ أَنِّي مَسَّنِيَ الضُّرُّ وَأَنْتَ أَرْحَمُ الرَّاحِمِينَ

Rabbi anni massaniyad-durru wa anta arhamur-rahimin

My Lord, adversity has touched me, and You are the Most Merciful of the merciful.

حَسْبُنَا اللَّهُ وَنِعْمَ الْوَكِيلُ

Hasbunallahu wa ni'mal-wakil

Allah is sufficient for us and He is the best disposer of affairs.

لَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللَّهِ

La hawla wa la quwwata illa billah

There is no might nor power except with Allah. (It is a treasure from the treasures of Paradise.)

اللَّهُمَّ لَا سَهْلَ إِلَّا مَا جَعَلْتَهُ سَهْلًا وَأَنْتَ تَجْعَلُ الْحَزْنَ إِذَا شِئْتَ سَهْلًا

Allahumma la sahla illa ma ja'altahu sahla wa anta taj'alul-hazna idha shi'ta sahla

O Allah, there is no ease except in that which You have made easy, and You make the difficult easy if You wish.

اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّكَ عَفُوٌّ تُحِبُّ الْعَفْوَ فَاعْفُ عَنِّي

Allahumma innaka 'afuwwun tuhibbul-'afwa fa'fu 'anni

O Allah, You are Pardoning and You love to pardon, so pardon me.

أَعُوذُ بِعِزَّةِ اللَّهِ وَقُدْرَتِهِ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا أَجِدُ وَأُحَاذِرُ

A'ūdhu bi'izzatillāhi wa qudratihi min sharri mā ajidu wa uḥādhir.

I seek refuge in the might of Allah ﷻ and His power from the evil of what I feel and fear.

أَسْأَلُ اللَّهَ الْعَظِيمَ رَبَّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيمِ أَنْ يَشْفِيَكَ

As'alullahil-'Adhima Rabbal-'Arshil-'Adhimi an yashfiyak

I ask Allah the Magnificent, Lord of the Magnificent Throne, to cure you.

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ

Bismillāh.

In the name of Allah ﷻ.

اللَّهُمَّ انْفَعْنِي بِمَا عَلَّمْتَنِي وَعَلِّمْنِي مَا يَنْفَعُنِي وَزِدْنِي عِلْمًا

Allahumman-fa'ni bima 'allamtani wa 'allimni ma yanfa'uni wa zidni 'ilma

O Allah, benefit me with what You have taught me, teach me what will benefit me, and increase me in knowledge.

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ عِلْمٍ لَا يَنْفَعُ وَمِنْ قَلْبٍ لَا يَخْشَعُ وَمِنْ نَفْسٍ لَا تَشْبَعُ وَمِنْ دَعْوَةٍ لَا يُسْتَجَابُ لَهَا

Allahumma inni a'udhu bika min 'ilmin la yanfa'u wa min qalbin la yakhsha'u wa min nafsin la tashba'u wa min da'watin la yustajabu laha

O Allah, I seek refuge in You from knowledge that does not benefit, from a heart that does not fear, from a soul that is not satisfied, and from a supplication that is not answered.

رَبِّ اغْفِرْ لِي وَلِوَالِدَيَّ وَلِمَنْ دَخَلَ بَيْتِيَ مُؤْمِنًا وَلِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَاتِ

Rabbighfir li wa liwali dayya wa liman dakhala bayti mu'minan wa lil-mu'minina wal-mu'minat

My Lord, forgive me, my parents, whoever enters my house as a believer, and all believing men and women.

يَا مُقَلِّبَ الْقُلُوبِ ثَبِّتْ قَلْبِي عَلَى دِينِكَ

Ya Muqallibal-qulub, thabbit qalbi 'ala dinik

O Turner of hearts, keep my heart firm upon Your religion.

اللَّهُمَّ أَحْسَنْتَ خَلْقِي فَأَحْسِنْ خُلُقِي

Allahumma ahsanta khalqi fa-ahsin khuluqi

O Allah, You have made my physical form beautiful, so beautify my character too.

رَبِّ أَوْزِعْنِي أَنْ أَشْكُرَ نِعْمَتَكَ الَّتِي أَنْعَمْتَ عَلَيَّ وَعَلَى وَالِدَيَّ وَأَنْ أَعْمَلَ صَالِحًا تَرْضَاهُ وَأَدْخِلْنِي بِرَحْمَتِكَ فِي عِبَادِكَ الصَّالِحِينَ

Rabbi awzi'nī an ashkura ni'matakal-latī an'amta 'alayya wa 'alā wālidayya wa an a'mala ṣāliḥan tarḍāhu wa adkhilnī biraḥmatika fī 'ibādikaṣ-ṣāliḥīn.

My Lord, inspire me to be thankful for Your favour which You have bestowed upon me and my parents, and to do good that pleases You; admit me, by Your mercy, among Your righteous servants.

الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي بِنِعْمَتِهِ تَتِمُّ الصَّالِحَاتُ

Alhamdu lillahilladhi bi-ni'matihi tatimus-salihat

All praise is for Allah, by whose blessing all good things are completed.

آمَنَ الرَّسُولُ بِمَا أُنزِلَ إِلَيْهِ مِنْ رَبِّهِ وَالْمُؤْمِنُونَ ۚ كُلٌّ آمَنَ بِاللَّهِ وَمَلَائِكَتِهِ وَكُتُبِهِ وَرُسُلِهِ لَا نُفَرِّقُ بَيْنَ أَحَدٍ مِنْ رُسُلِهِ ۚ وَقَالُوا سَمِعْنَا وَأَطَعْنَا غُفْرَانَكَ رَبَّنَا وَإِلَيْكَ الْمَصِيرُ ۝ لَا يُكَلِّفُ اللَّهُ نَفْسًا إِلَّا وُسْعَهَا ۚ لَهَا مَا كَسَبَتْ وَعَلَيْهَا مَا اكْتَسَبَتْ ۗ رَبَّنَا لَا تُؤَاخِذْنَا إِنْ نَسِينَا أَوْ أَخْطَأْنَا ۚ رَبَّنَا وَلَا تَحْمِلْ عَلَيْنَا إِصْرًا كَمَا حَمَلْتَهُ عَلَى الَّذِينَ مِنْ قَبْلِنَا ۚ رَبَّنَا وَلَا تُحَمِّلْنَا مَا لَا طَاقَةَ لَنَا بِهِ ۖ وَاعْفُ عَنَّا وَاغْفِرْ لَنَا وَارْحَمْنَا ۚ أَنْتَ مَوْلَانَا فَانْصُرْنَا عَلَى الْقَوْمِ الْكَافِرِينَ

The Messenger believes in what was revealed to him from his Lord, as do the believers. All believe in Allah ﷻ, His angels, His Books and His messengers, making no distinction between any of His messengers. They say, ‘We hear and obey. We seek Your forgiveness, our Lord, and to You is the final return.’ Allah ﷻ does not burden a soul beyond its capacity. It will have the good it has earned and bear the evil it has committed. ‘Our Lord, do not punish us if we forget or make a mistake. Our Lord, do not place a burden on us like the one You placed on those before us. Our Lord, do not burden us with what we cannot bear. Pardon us, forgive us and have mercy on us. You are our Protector, so help us against the disbelieving people.’

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ عَذَابِ جَهَنَّمَ وَمِنْ عَذَابِ الْقَبْرِ وَمِنْ فِتْنَةِ الْمَحْيَا وَالْمَمَاتِ وَمِنْ شَرِّ فِتْنَةِ الْمَسِيحِ الدَّجَّالِ

Allahumma inni a'udhu bika min 'adhabi jahannam, wa min 'adhabul-qabr, wa min fitnatil-mahya wal-mamat, wa min sharri fitnatil-masihid-dajjal

O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the punishment of Hell, from the punishment of the grave, from the trials of life and death, and from the evil of the trial of the False Messiah.

لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ

La ilaha illallah

There is no deity worthy of worship except Allah. (The best dhikr is la ilaha illallah and the best dua is alhamdulillah.)

اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَى آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

Allahumma salli 'ala Muhammadin wa 'ala ali Muhammad

O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and upon the family of Muhammad. (Whoever sends one salawat upon the Prophet, Allah sends ten blessings upon him.)

حَسْبِيَ اللَّهُ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا هُوَ عَلَيْهِ تَوَكَّلْتُ وَهُوَ رَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيمِ

Hasbiyallahu la ilaha illa huwa 'alayhi tawakkaltu wa huwa Rabbul-'Arshil-'Adheem

Allah is sufficient for me. There is no deity worthy of worship except Him. I place my trust in Him and He is the Lord of the Great Throne. (Whoever says this 7 times morning and evening, Allah will take care of whatever worries him.)

سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ وَبِحَمْدِهِ، سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ الْعَظِيمِ

Subḥānallāhi wa biḥamdih, subḥānallāhil-'Aẓīm.

Glory and praise be to Allah ﷻ; glory be to Allah ﷻ, the Most Great. Two phrases light on the tongue, heavy on the scales and beloved to the Most Merciful.

سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ وَلَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَاللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ

SubhanAllahi wal-hamdu lillahi wa la ilaha illallahu wallahu akbar

Glory be to Allah, all praise is due to Allah, there is no deity worthy of worship except Allah, and Allah is the Greatest.

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ خَيْرَهَا وَخَيْرَ مَا جَبَلْتَهَا عَلَيْهِ وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّهَا وَشَرِّ مَا جَبَلْتَهَا عَلَيْهِ

Allahumma inni as'aluka khayrahā wa khayra ma jabaltaha 'alayhi wa a'udhu bika min sharriha wa sharri ma jabaltaha 'alayh

O Allah, I ask You for her goodness and the goodness of the nature You have created in her, and I seek refuge in You from her evil and the evil of the nature You have created in her.

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ اللَّهُمَّ جَنِّبْنَا الشَّيْطَانَ وَجَنِّبِ الشَّيْطَانَ مَا رَزَقْتَنَا

Bismillah, Allahumma jannibnash-shaytana wa jannibish-shaytana ma razaqtana

In the name of Allah. O Allah, keep the devil away from us and keep the devil away from what You provide for us. (If a child is conceived, the devil will not harm it.)

رَبَّنَا هَبْ لَنَا مِنْ أَزْوَاجِنَا وَذُرِّيَّاتِنَا قُرَّةَ أَعْيُنٍ وَاجْعَلْنَا لِلْمُتَّقِينَ إِمَامًا

Rabbana hab lana min azwajina wa dhurriyyatina qurrata a'yunin waj'alna lil-muttaqina imama

Our Lord, grant us from among our spouses and offspring comfort to our eyes and make us a leader for the righteous.

بَارَكَ اللَّهُ لَكَ وَبَارَكَ عَلَيْكَ وَجَمَعَ بَيْنَكُمَا فِي خَيْرٍ

Barakallahu laka wa baraka 'alayka wa jama'a baynakuma fi khayr

May Allah bless you, and shower His blessings upon you, and join you together in goodness.

لَبَّيْكَ اللَّهُمَّ لَبَّيْكَ لَبَّيْكَ لَا شَرِيكَ لَكَ لَبَّيْكَ إِنَّ الْحَمْدَ وَالنِّعْمَةَ لَكَ وَالْمُلْكَ لَا شَرِيكَ لَكَ

Labbayk Allahumma labbayk, labbayk la shareeka laka labbayk, innal-hamda wan-ni'mata laka wal-mulk, la shareeka lak

Here I am O Allah, here I am. Here I am, You have no partner, here I am. Verily all praise, grace and sovereignty belong to You. You have no partner.

إِنَّ الصَّفَا وَالْمَرْوَةَ مِنْ شَعَائِرِ اللَّهِ، أَبْدَأُ بِمَا بَدَأَ اللَّهُ بِهِ. لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ، لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ، لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ، أَنْجَزَ وَعْدَهُ، وَنَصَرَ عَبْدَهُ، وَهَزَمَ الْأَحْزَابَ وَحْدَهُ

Innaṣ-Ṣafā wal-Marwata min sha'ā'irillāh. Abda'u bimā bada'Allāhu bih. Lā ilāha illallāhu waḥdahu lā sharīka lah, lahul-mulku wa lahul-ḥamdu wa Huwa 'alā kulli shay'in qadīr. Lā ilāha illallāhu waḥdah, anjaza wa'dah, wa naṣara 'abdah, wa hazamal-aḥzāba waḥdah.

Indeed, Safa and Marwah are among the symbols of Allah ﷻ. I begin with what Allah ﷻ began with. None has the right to be worshipped except Allah ﷻ alone, without partner. His is the dominion and all praise, and He is able to do all things. None has the right to be worshipped except Allah ﷻ alone. He fulfilled His promise, aided His servant and defeated the confederates alone.

لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ

La ilaha illallahu wahdahu la shareeka lah, lahul-mulku wa lahul-hamdu wa huwa 'ala kulli shay'in qadir

None has the right to be worshipped except Allah, alone, without partner. To Him belongs all sovereignty and all praise, and He is over all things omnipotent. (The best dua is the dua of the day of Arafah.)

إِنَّا لِلَّهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ اللَّهُمَّ أْجُرْنِي فِي مُصِيبَتِي وَأَخْلِفْ لِي خَيْرًا مِنْهَا

Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un, Allahumma-jurni fi musibati wa akhlif li khayran minha

Surely to Allah we belong and to Him we shall return. O Allah, reward me in my calamity and replace it with something better.

اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لَهُ وَارْحَمْهُ وَعَافِهِ وَاعْفُ عَنْهُ وَأَكْرِمْ نُزُلَهُ وَوَسِّعْ مُدْخَلَهُ وَاغْسِلْهُ بِالْمَاءِ وَالثَّلْجِ وَالْبَرَدِ

Allahummaghfir lahu warhamhu wa 'afihi wa'fu 'anhu wa akrim nuzulahu wa wassi' mudkhalahu waghsilhu bil-ma'i wath-thalji wal-barad

O Allah, forgive him and have mercy on him, keep him safe and sound and pardon him, honour the place where he settles, make his entrance wide, wash him with water, snow and hail.

اللَّهُمَّ آجِرْنِي فِي مُصِيبَتِي وَأَعْقِبْنِي خَيْرًا مِنْهَا

Allahumma ajirni fi musibati wa a'qibni khayran minha

O Allah, reward me for my affliction and compensate me with something better than it.

السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ أَهْلَ الدِّيَارِ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَالْمُسْلِمِينَ وَيَرْحَمُ اللَّهُ الْمُسْتَقْدِمِينَ مِنَّا وَالْمُسْتَأْخِرِينَ وَإِنَّا إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ بِكُمْ لَاحِقُونَ

As-salamu 'alaykum ahlad-diyari minal-mu'minina wal-muslimeen, wa yarhamullahul-mustaqdimiena minna wal-musta'khireen, wa inna insha'allahu bikum lahiqun

Peace be upon you, O people of the dwellings, from among the believers and Muslims. May Allah have mercy on those who have gone ahead of us and those who are to follow, and verily, if Allah wills, we will join you.

أُعِيذُكُمَا بِكَلِمَاتِ اللَّهِ التَّامَّةِ مِنْ كُلِّ شَيْطَانٍ وَهَامَّةٍ وَمِنْ كُلِّ عَيْنٍ لَامَّةٍ

U'īdhukumā bikalimātillāhit-tāmmati min kulli shayṭānin wa hāmmah, wa min kulli 'aynin lāmmah.

I seek protection for both of you in the perfect words of Allah ﷻ from every devil, every harmful creature and every harmful eye.

رَبِّ هَبْ لِي مِنْ لَدُنْكَ ذُرِّيَّةً طَيِّبَةً إِنَّكَ سَمِيعُ الدُّعَاءِ

Rabbi hab li min ladunka dhurriyyatan tayyibatan innaka sami'ud-du'a

My Lord, grant me from Yourself a good offspring. Indeed, You are the Hearer of supplication.

رَبِّ اجْعَلْنِي مُقِيمَ الصَّلَاةِ وَمِنْ ذُرِّيَّتِي رَبَّنَا وَتَقَبَّلْ دُعَاءِ

Rabbij'alni muqimas-salati wa min dhurriyyati, rabbana wa taqabbal du'a

My Lord, make me an establisher of prayer, and from my descendants. Our Lord, and accept my supplication.

بَارَكَ اللَّهُ لَكَ فِي الْمَوْهُوبِ لَكَ وَشَكَرْتَ الْوَاهِبَ وَبَلَغَ أَشُدَّهُ وَرُزِقْتَ بِرَّهُ

Barakallahu laka fil-mawhubu laka wa shakarta-l-wahiba wa balagha ashuddahu wa ruziqta birrah

May Allah bless you in what has been gifted to you, may you give thanks to the Giver, may he reach maturity, and may you be granted his piety.

اللَّهُمَّ اكْفِنِي بِحَلَالِكَ عَنْ حَرَامِكَ وَأَغْنِنِي بِفَضْلِكَ عَمَّنْ سِوَاكَ

Allahummak-fini bihalali 'an haramika wa aghnini bifadlika 'amman siwak

O Allah, suffice me with what You have made lawful against what You have made unlawful, and make me independent of all others besides You through Your bounty.

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْهَمِّ وَالْحَزَنِ وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْعَجْزِ وَالْكَسَلِ وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْجُبْنِ وَالْبُخْلِ وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ غَلَبَةِ الدَّيْنِ وَقَهْرِ الرِّجَالِ

Allahumma inni a'udhu bika minal-hammi wal-hazani wa a'udhu bika minal-'ajzi wal-kasali wa a'udhu bika minal-jubni wal-bukhli wa a'udhu bika min ghalabatid-dayni wa qahrir-rijal

O Allah, I seek refuge in You from anxiety and grief, from helplessness and laziness, from cowardice and miserliness, and from being overwhelmed by debt and subjugated by people.

لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ يُحْيِي وَيُمِيتُ وَهُوَ حَيٌّ لَا يَمُوتُ بِيَدِهِ الْخَيْرُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ

La ilaha illallahu wahdahu la shareeka lah, lahul-mulku wa lahul-hamdu yuhyi wa yumitu wa huwa hayyun la yamutu biyadihil-khayru wa huwa 'ala kulli shay'in qadir

None has the right to be worshipped except Allah, alone, without partner. To Him belongs all sovereignty and all praise. He gives life and causes death. He is living and does not die. In His hand is all goodness and He is over all things omnipotent. (Allah will write a million good deeds for whoever says this at the market.)

اللَّهُمَّ لَكَ الْحَمْدُ أَنْتَ نُورُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَمَنْ فِيهِنَّ، وَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ أَنْتَ قَيِّمُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَمَنْ فِيهِنَّ، وَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ أَنْتَ مَلِكُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَمَنْ فِيهِنَّ، وَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ أَنْتَ الْحَقُّ، وَوَعْدُكَ الْحَقُّ، وَلِقَاؤُكَ حَقٌّ، وَقَوْلُكَ حَقٌّ، وَالْجَنَّةُ حَقٌّ، وَالنَّارُ حَقٌّ، وَالنَّبِيُّونَ حَقٌّ، وَمُحَمَّدٌ ﷺ حَقٌّ، وَالسَّاعَةُ حَقٌّ، اللَّهُمَّ لَكَ أَسْلَمْتُ، وَبِكَ آمَنْتُ، وَعَلَيْكَ تَوَكَّلْتُ، وَإِلَيْكَ أَنَبْتُ، وَبِكَ خَاصَمْتُ، وَإِلَيْكَ حَاكَمْتُ، فَاغْفِرْ لِي مَا قَدَّمْتُ وَمَا أَخَّرْتُ، وَمَا أَسْرَرْتُ وَمَا أَعْلَنْتُ، أَنْتَ الْمُقَدِّمُ وَأَنْتَ الْمُؤَخِّرُ، لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ

O Allah ﷻ, all praise is Yours. You are the Light of the heavens and earth and all within them. Praise is Yours; You sustain the heavens and earth and all within them. Praise is Yours; You are the King of the heavens and earth and all within them. Praise is Yours; You are the Truth, Your promise is true, meeting You is true, Your word is true, Paradise is true, the Fire is true, the prophets are true, Muhammad ﷺ is true and the Hour is true. O Allah ﷻ, to You I submit, in You I believe, upon You I rely, to You I turn, by Your aid I contend and to You I refer for judgment. Forgive my earlier and later sins, what I conceal and what I reveal. You bring forward and delay; none has the right to be worshipped except You.

اللَّهُمَّ اهْدِنِي فِيمَنْ هَدَيْتَ، وَعَافِنِي فِيمَنْ عَافَيْتَ، وَتَوَلَّنِي فِيمَنْ تَوَلَّيْتَ، وَبَارِكْ لِي فِيمَا أَعْطَيْتَ، وَقِنِي شَرَّ مَا قَضَيْتَ، فَإِنَّكَ تَقْضِي وَلَا يُقْضَى عَلَيْكَ، إِنَّهُ لَا يَذِلُّ مَنْ وَالَيْتَ، وَلَا يَعِزُّ مَنْ عَادَيْتَ، تَبَارَكْتَ رَبَّنَا وَتَعَالَيْتَ

Allāhumma-hdinī fīman hadayt, wa 'āfinī fīman 'āfayt, wa tawallanī fīman tawallayt, wa bārik lī fīmā a'ṭayt, wa qinī sharra mā qaḍayt. Fa-innaka taqḍī wa lā yuqḍā 'alayk. Innahu lā yadhillu man wālayt, wa lā ya'izzu man 'ādayt. Tabārakta Rabbanā wa ta'ālayt.

O Allah ﷻ, guide me among those You have guided, grant me well-being among those You have granted well-being, take me into Your care among those You have taken into Your care, bless what You have given me, and protect me from the evil of what You have decreed. You decree and none decrees over You. Whoever You support is never humiliated, and whoever You oppose is never honoured. Blessed and Exalted are You, our Lord.

اللَّهُمَّ رَبَّ جِبْرَائِيلَ وَمِيكَائِيلَ وَإِسْرَافِيلَ، فَاطِرَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ، عَالِمَ الْغَيْبِ وَالشَّهَادَةِ، أَنْتَ تَحْكُمُ بَيْنَ عِبَادِكَ فِيمَا كَانُوا فِيهِ يَخْتَلِفُونَ، اهْدِنِي لِمَا اخْتُلِفَ فِيهِ مِنَ الْحَقِّ بِإِذْنِكَ، إِنَّكَ تَهْدِي مَنْ تَشَاءُ إِلَى صِرَاطٍ مُسْتَقِيمٍ

Allāhumma Rabba Jibrā'īla wa Mīkā'īla wa Isrāfīl, Fāṭiras-samāwāti wal-arḍ, 'Ālimal-ghaybi wash-shahādah, Anta taḥkumu bayna 'ibādika fīmā kānū fīhi yakhtalifūn. Ihdinī limakhtulifa fīhi minal-ḥaqqi bi-idhnik, innaka tahdī man tashā'u ilā ṣirāṭin mustaqīm.

O Allah ﷻ, Lord of Jibril, Mika'il and Israfil, Originator of the heavens and earth, Knower of the unseen and seen: You judge between Your servants in what they differ about. By Your permission, guide me to the truth in matters of disagreement. You guide whom You will to a straight path.

أَعُوذُ بِاللَّهِ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيمِ

A'udhu billahi minash-shaytanir-rajeem

I seek refuge in Allah from the accursed devil.

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ مَالِكِ يَوْمِ الدِّينِ إِيَّاكَ نَعْبُدُ وَإِيَّاكَ نَسْتَعِينُ اهْدِنَا الصِّرَاطَ الْمُسْتَقِيمَ صِرَاطَ الَّذِينَ أَنْعَمْتَ عَلَيْهِمْ غَيْرِ الْمَغْضُوبِ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا الضَّالِّينَ

Bismillahir-Rahmanir-Rahim, Alhamdu lillahi Rabbil-'alamin, Ar-Rahmanir-Rahim, Maliki yawmid-din, Iyyaka na'budu wa iyyaka nasta'in, Ihdinas-siratal-mustaqim, Siratal-ladhina an'amta 'alayhim, ghayril-maghdubi 'alayhim wa lad-dallin

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful. All praise is due to Allah, Lord of the worlds — the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful, Sovereign of the Day of Recompense. It is You we worship and You we ask for help. Guide us to the straight path — the path of those upon whom You have bestowed favour, not of those who have evoked anger or of those who are astray.

سُبْحَانَكَ اللَّهُمَّ وَبِحَمْدِكَ أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ أَسْتَغْفِرُكَ وَأَتُوبُ إِلَيْكَ

SubhanakaAllahumma wa bihamdika ash-hadu an la ilaha illa anta astaghfiruka wa atubu ilayk

Glory be to You O Allah and all praise, I bear witness that there is no deity worthy of worship except You. I seek Your forgiveness and I repent to You.

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْخُبُثِ وَالْخَبَائِثِ

Allāhumma innī aʿūdhu bika minal-khubuthi wal-khabāʾith.

O Allah ﷻ, I seek refuge in You from male and female devils.

غُفْرَانَكَ

Ghufrānak.

I seek Your forgiveness.

الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ ۝ يَرْحَمُكَ اللَّهُ ۝ يَهْدِيكُمُ اللَّهُ وَيُصْلِحُ بَالَكُمْ

Al-ḥamdu lillāh. Yarḥamukallāh. Yahdīkumu-llāhu wa yuṣliḥu bālakum.

Praise belongs to Allah ﷻ. May Allah ﷻ have mercy on you. May Allah ﷻ guide you and set your affairs right.

أَعُوذُ بِاللَّهِ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ

Aʿūdhu billāhi minash-shayṭān.

I seek refuge in Allah ﷻ from Satan.

رَبَّنَا لَا تُزِغْ قُلُوبَنَا بَعْدَ إِذْ هَدَيْتَنَا وَهَبْ لَنَا مِنْ لَدُنْكَ رَحْمَةً إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ الْوَهَّابُ

Rabbanā lā tuzigh qulūbanā baʿda idh hadaytanā wa hab lanā min ladunka raḥmah, innaka Antal-Wahhāb.

Our Lord, do not let our hearts deviate after You have guided us. Grant us mercy from Yourself; You are indeed the Giver.

رَبَّنَا آتِنَا مِنْ لَدُنْكَ رَحْمَةً وَهَيِّئْ لَنَا مِنْ أَمْرِنَا رَشَدًا

Rabbanā ātinā min ladunka raḥmatan wa hayyiʾ lanā min amrinā rashadā.

Our Lord, grant us mercy from Yourself and guide us rightly through our affair.

رَبِّ اغْفِرْ وَارْحَمْ وَأَنْتَ خَيْرُ الرَّاحِمِينَ

Rabbighfir warḥam wa Anta khayrur-rāḥimīn.

My Lord, forgive and have mercy, for You are the best of those who show mercy.

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ الْهُدَى وَالتُّقَى وَالْعَفَافَ وَالْغِنَى

Allāhumma innī asʾalukal-hudā wat-tuqā wal-ʿafāfa wal-ghinā.

O Allah ﷻ, I ask You for guidance, piety, chastity and contentment.

اللَّهُمَّ أَصْلِحْ لِي دِينِيَ الَّذِي هُوَ عِصْمَةُ أَمْرِي، وَأَصْلِحْ لِي دُنْيَايَ الَّتِي فِيهَا مَعَاشِي، وَأَصْلِحْ لِي آخِرَتِيَ الَّتِي فِيهَا مَعَادِي، وَاجْعَلِ الْحَيَاةَ زِيَادَةً لِي فِي كُلِّ خَيْرٍ، وَاجْعَلِ الْمَوْتَ رَاحَةً لِي مِنْ كُلِّ شَرٍّ

Allāhumma aṣliḥ lī dīniyal-ladhī huwa ʿiṣmatu amrī, wa aṣliḥ lī dunyāyal-latī fīhā maʿāshī, wa aṣliḥ lī ākhiratiyal-latī fīhā maʿādī, wajʿalil-ḥayāta ziyādatan lī fī kulli khayr, wajʿalil-mawta rāḥatan lī min kulli sharr.

O Allah ﷻ, set right my religion, which safeguards my affairs; set right my worldly life, in which I live; and set right my Hereafter, to which I return. Make life an increase for me in every good and make death a relief for me from every evil.

رَبَّنَا أَفْرِغْ عَلَيْنَا صَبْرًا وَثَبِّتْ أَقْدَامَنَا وَانْصُرْنَا عَلَى الْقَوْمِ الْكَافِرِينَ

Rabbanā afrigh ʿalaynā ṣabran wa thabbit aqdāmanā wanṣurnā ʿalal-qawmil-kāfirīn.

Our Lord, pour upon us patience, make our feet firm and grant us victory over the disbelieving people.

رَبِّ إِنِّي لِمَا أَنْزَلْتَ إِلَيَّ مِنْ خَيْرٍ فَقِيرٌ

Rabbi innī limā anzalta ilayya min khayrin faqīr.

My Lord, I am truly in need of whatever good You may send down to me.
