أَصْبَحْنَا وَأَصْبَحَ الْمُلْكُ لِلَّهِ، وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ، لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ، لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ، رَبِّ أَسْأَلُكَ خَيْرَ مَا فِي هَذَا الْيَوْمِ وَخَيْرَ مَا بَعْدَهُ، وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا فِي هَذَا الْيَوْمِ وَشَرِّ مَا بَعْدَهُ، رَبِّ أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْكَسَلِ وَسُوءِ الْكِبَرِ، رَبِّ أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ عَذَابٍ فِي النَّارِ وَعَذَابٍ فِي الْقَبْرِ

Aṣbaḥnā wa aṣbaḥal-mulku lillāh, wal-ḥamdu lillāh. Lā ilāha illallāhu waḥdahu lā sharīka lah, lahul-mulku wa lahul-ḥamdu wa Huwa 'alā kulli shay'in qadīr. Rabbi as'aluka khayra mā fī hādhal-yawmi wa khayra mā ba'dah, wa a'ūdhu bika min sharri mā fī hādhal-yawmi wa sharri mā ba'dah. Rabbi a'ūdhu bika minal-kasali wa sū'il-kibar. Rabbi a'ūdhu bika min 'adhābin fin-nāri wa 'adhābin fil-qabr.

"We have entered the morning and all dominion belongs to Allah ﷻ; all praise is for Allah ﷻ. None has the right to be worshipped except Allah ﷻ alone, without partner. His is the dominion and praise, and He is able to do all things. My Lord, I ask You for the good of this day and what follows it, and seek refuge in You from the evil of this day and what follows it. My Lord, I seek refuge in You from laziness and the misery of old age. My Lord, I seek refuge in You from punishment in the Fire and punishment in the grave."

Sahih Muslim 2723

بِاسْمِكَ اللَّهُمَّ أَمُوتُ وَأَحْيَا

Bismika Allāhumma amūtu wa ahyā

"In Your name, O Allah ﷻ, I die and I live."

Bukhari 6314

الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي أَحْيَانَا بَعْدَ مَا أَمَاتَنَا وَإِلَيْهِ النُّشُورُ

Alhamdulillāhil-ladhī ahyānā ba'da mā amātanā wa ilayhin-nushūr

"Praise be to Allah ﷻ who gave us life after death, and to Him is the resurrection."

Bukhari 6312

سُبْحَانَ الَّذِي سَخَّرَ لَنَا هَذَا وَمَا كُنَّا لَهُ مُقْرِنِينَ، وَإِنَّا إِلَى رَبِّنَا لَمُنقَلِبُونَ

Subhānal-ladhī sakhkhara lanā hādhā wa mā kunnā lahu muqrinīn, wa innā ilā rabbinā lamunqalibūn

"Glory to Him who subjected this to us; we could never have accomplished it. Indeed, to our Lord we shall return."

Quran 43:13–14

آيِبُونَ تَائِبُونَ عَابِدُونَ لِرَبِّنَا حَامِدُونَ

Āyibūna tā'ibūna 'ābidūna li-rabbinā hāmidūn

"We return, we repent, we worship and to our Lord we give praise."

Muslim 1345

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ وَلَجْنَا، وَبِسْمِ اللَّهِ خَرَجْنَا، وَعَلَى اللَّهِ رَبِّنَا تَوَكَّلْنَا

Bismillāhi walajnā, wa bismillāhi kharajnā, wa 'ala-Llāhi rabbinā tawakkalnā

"In Allah ﷻ's name we enter, in Allah ﷻ's name we leave, and upon our Lord we rely."

Abu Dawud 5096

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ، تَوَكَّلْتُ عَلَى اللَّهِ، وَلَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللَّهِ

Bismillāh, tawakkaltu 'ala-Llāh, wa lā hawla wa lā quwwata illā billāh

"In Allah ﷻ's name, I place my trust in Allah ﷻ, there is no power nor might except with Allah ﷻ."

الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي أَطْعَمَنِي هَذَا وَرَزَقَنِيهِ مِنْ غَيْرِ حَوْلٍ مِنِّي وَلَا قُوَّةٍ

Alhamdulillāhil-ladhī at'amanī hādhā wa razaqanīhi min ghayri hawlin minnī wa lā quwwah

"Praise be to Allah ﷻ who fed me this and provided it without any might or power from me."

Abu Dawud 4023

ذَهَبَ الظَّمَأُ، وَابْتَلَّتِ الْعُرُوقُ، وَثَبَتَ الْأَجْرُ إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ

Dhahaba-dh-dhama'u, wabtallatil-'urūqu, wa thabatal-ajru In shā’ Allāh

"The thirst is gone, the veins are moistened, and the reward is confirmed, if Allah ﷻ wills."

Abu Dawud 2357

اللَّهُمَّ صَيِّبًا نَافِعًا

Allāhumma sayyiban nāfi'ā

"O Allah ﷻ, (make it) a beneficial rain cloud."

Bukhari 1032

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ خَيْرَهَا، وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّهَا

Allāhumma innī as'aluka khayrahā, wa a'ūdhu bika min sharrihā

"O Allah ﷻ, I ask You for its good and seek refuge in You from its evil."

Sahih Muslim 899

سُبْحَانَ الَّذِي يُسَبِّحُ الرَّعْدُ بِحَمْدِهِ وَالْمَلَائِكَةُ مِنْ خِيفَتِهِ

Subhānal-ladhī yusabbihur-ra'du bihamdihi wal-malā'ikatu min khīfatih

"Glory to Him whom thunder glorifies with His praise, and the angels out of awe of Him."

Muwatta Malik 3641 — reported from ʿAbdullah ibn al-Zubayr

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْهَمِّ وَالْحَزَنِ، وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْعَجْزِ وَالْكَسَلِ، وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْجُبْنِ وَالْبُخْلِ، وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ غَلَبَةِ الدَّيْنِ وَقَهْرِ الرِّجَالِ

Allāhumma innī a'ūdhu bika minal-hammi wal-ḥazan, wa a'ūdhu bika minal-'ajzi wal-kasal, wa a'ūdhu bika minal-jubni wal-bukhl, wa a'ūdhu bika min ghalabatid-dayni wa qahrir-rijāl.

"O Allah ﷻ, I seek refuge in You from anxiety and grief, from incapacity and laziness, from cowardice and miserliness, and from being overcome by debt and overpowered by people."

Sahih al-Bukhari 6369

حَسْبُنَا اللَّهُ وَنِعْمَ الْوَكِيلُ

Hasbunā-Llāhu wa ni'mal-wakīl

"Allah ﷻ is sufficient for us, and the best Disposer of affairs."

Quran 3:173

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ ۝ أَعُوذُ بِعِزَّةِ اللَّهِ وَقُدْرَتِهِ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا أَجِدُ وَأُحَاذِرُ

Bismillāh. A'ūdhu bi'izzatillāhi wa qudratihi min sharri mā ajidu wa uḥādhir.

"In the name of Allah ﷻ. I seek refuge in the might of Allah ﷻ and His power from the evil of what I feel and fear."

Sahih Muslim 2202

رَبِّ اشْرَحْ لِي صَدْرِي وَيَسِّرْ لِي أَمْرِي وَاحْلُلْ عُقْدَةً مِنْ لِسَانِي يَفْقَهُوا قَوْلِي

Rabbi-shrah lī sadrī wa yassir lī amrī wahlul 'uqdatan min lisānī yafqahū qawlī

"My Lord, expand for me my chest, ease my task, and untie the knot from my tongue that they may understand my speech."

Quran 20:25–28

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الَّذِي لَا يَضُرُّ مَعَ اسْمِهِ شَيْءٌ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَلَا فِي السَّمَاءِ وَهُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ

Bismillāhi-lladhī lā yadurru ma'a-smihi shay'un fil-ardi wa lā fis-samā', wa huwas-samī'ul-'alīm

"In the name of Allah ﷻ, with whose name nothing can harm on earth or in the heavens. He is the All-Hearing, All-Knowing."

Abu Dawud 5088

أَعُوذُ بِكَلِمَاتِ اللَّهِ التَّامَّاتِ مِنْ كُلِّ شَيْطَانٍ وَهَامَّةٍ وَمِنْ كُلِّ عَيْنٍ لَامَّةٍ

A'ūdhu bikalimātillāhit-tāmmāti min kulli shaytānin wa hāmmah, wa min kulli 'aynin lāmmah

"I seek refuge in Allah ﷻ's perfect words from every devil, every venomous creature, and every evil eye."

Bukhari 3371

الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي بِنِعْمَتِهِ تَتِمُّ الصَّالِحَاتُ

Alhamdulillāhil-ladhī bi ni'matihi tatimmus-sālihāt

"Praise be to Allah ﷻ by whose favour good works are accomplished."

Ibn Majah 3803

اللَّهُمَّ لَكَ الْحَمْدُ أَنْتَ كَسَوْتَنِيهِ، أَسْأَلُكَ خَيْرَهُ وَخَيْرَ مَا صُنِعَ لَهُ، وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّهِ وَشَرِّ مَا صُنِعَ لَهُ

Allāhumma lakal-ḥamdu Anta kasawtanīhi, as'aluka khayrahu wa khayra mā ṣuni'a lah, wa a'ūdhu bika min sharrihi wa sharri mā ṣuni'a lah.

"O Allah ﷻ, praise is Yours; You clothed me with it. I ask You for its good and the good it was made for, and I seek refuge in You from its evil and the evil it was made for."

Abu Dawud 4020

مَا شَاءَ اللَّهُ لَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللَّهِ

Mā shā’ Allāh, lā quwwata illā billāh

"As Allah ﷻ wills; there is no power except with Allah ﷻ."
