أَصْبَحْنَا وَأَصْبَحَ الْمُلْكُ لِلَّهِ، وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ

Asbahnā wa asbahal-mulku lillāh, wal-hamdu lillāh

"We have entered the morning and the dominion belongs to Allah, and all praise is for Allah."

أَمْسَيْنَا وَأَمْسَى الْمُلْكُ لِلَّهِ، وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ

Amsaynā wa amsal-mulku lillāh, wal-hamdu lillāh

"We have entered the evening and the dominion belongs to Allah, and all praise is for Allah."

بِاسْمِكَ اللَّهُمَّ أَمُوتُ وَأَحْيَا

Bismika Allāhumma amūtu wa ahyā

"In Your name, O Allah, I die and I live."

الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي أَحْيَانَا بَعْدَ مَا أَمَاتَنَا وَإِلَيْهِ النُّشُورُ

Alhamdulillāhil-ladhī ahyānā ba'da mā amātanā wa ilayhin-nushūr

"Praise be to Allah who gave us life after death, and to Him is the resurrection."

سُبْحَانَ الَّذِي سَخَّرَ لَنَا هَذَا وَمَا كُنَّا لَهُ مُقْرِنِينَ، وَإِنَّا إِلَى رَبِّنَا لَمُنقَلِبُونَ

Subhānal-ladhī sakhkhara lanā hādhā wa mā kunnā lahu muqrinīn, wa innā ilā rabbinā lamunqalibūn

"Glory to Him who subjected this to us; we could never have accomplished it. Indeed, to our Lord we shall return."

Quran 43:13–14

آيِبُونَ تَائِبُونَ عَابِدُونَ لِرَبِّنَا حَامِدُونَ

Āyibūna tā'ibūna 'ābidūna li-rabbinā hāmidūn

"We return, we repent, we worship and to our Lord we give praise."

Muslim 1345

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ وَلَجْنَا، وَبِسْمِ اللَّهِ خَرَجْنَا، وَعَلَى اللَّهِ رَبِّنَا تَوَكَّلْنَا

Bismillāhi walajnā, wa bismillāhi kharajnā, wa 'ala-Llāhi rabbinā tawakkalnā

"In Allah's name we enter, in Allah's name we leave, and upon our Lord we rely."

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ، تَوَكَّلْتُ عَلَى اللَّهِ، وَلَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللَّهِ

"In Allah's name, I place my trust in Allah, there is no power nor might except with Allah."

"Praise be to Allah who fed me this and provided it without any might or power from me."

ذَهَبَ الظَّمَأُ، وَابْتَلَّتِ الْعُرُوقُ، وَثَبَتَ الْأَجْرُ إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ

Dhahaba-dh-dhama'u, wabtallatil-'urūqu, wa thabatal-ajru inshā'Allāh

"The thirst is gone, the veins are moistened, and the reward is confirmed, if Allah wills."

اللَّهُمَّ صَيِّبًا نَافِعًا

Allāhumma sayyiban nāfi'ā

"O Allah, (make it) a beneficial rain cloud."

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ خَيْرَهَا، وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّهَا

Allāhumma innī as'aluka khayrahā, wa a'ūdhu bika min sharrihā

"O Allah, I ask You for its good and seek refuge in You from its evil."

سُبْحَانَ الَّذِي يُسَبِّحُ الرَّعْدُ بِحَمْدِهِ وَالْمَلَائِكَةُ مِنْ خِيفَتِهِ

Subhānal-ladhī yusabbihur-ra'du bihamdihi wal-malā'ikatu min khīfatih

"Glory to Him whom thunder glorifies with His praise, and the angels out of awe of Him."

Muwatta Malik 3641

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْهَمِّ وَالْحَزَنِ، وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْعَجْزِ وَالْكَسَلِ

Allāhumma innī a'ūdhu bika minal-hammi wal-hazan, wa a'ūdhu bika minal-'ajzi wal-kasal

"O Allah, I seek refuge in You from anxiety and grief, and from weakness and laziness."

حَسْبُنَا اللَّهُ وَنِعْمَ الْوَكِيلُ

Hasbunā-Llāhu wa ni'mal-wakīl

"Allah is sufficient for us, and the best Disposer of affairs."

Quran 3:173

أَعُوذُ بِاللَّهِ وَقُدْرَتِهِ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا أَجِدُ وَأُحَاذِرُ

A'ūdhu billāhi wa qudratihi min sharri mā ajidu wa uhādhir

"I seek refuge in Allah and His Power from the evil of what I feel and dread."

رَبِّ اشْرَحْ لِي صَدْرِي وَيَسِّرْ لِي أَمْرِي وَاحْلُلْ عُقْدَةً مِنْ لِسَانِي يَفْقَهُوا قَوْلِي

Rabbi-shrah lī sadrī wa yassir lī amrī wahlul 'uqdatan min lisānī yafqahū qawlī

"My Lord, expand for me my chest, ease my task, and untie the knot from my tongue that they may understand my speech."

Quran 20:25–28

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الَّذِي لَا يَضُرُّ مَعَ اسْمِهِ شَيْءٌ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَلَا فِي السَّمَاءِ وَهُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ

Bismillāhi-lladhī lā yadurru ma'a-smihi shay'un fil-ardi wa lā fis-samā', wa huwas-samī'ul-'alīm

"In the name of Allah, with whose name nothing can harm on earth or in the heavens. He is the All-Hearing, All-Knowing."

أَعُوذُ بِكَلِمَاتِ اللَّهِ التَّامَّاتِ مِنْ كُلِّ شَيْطَانٍ وَهَامَّةٍ وَمِنْ كُلِّ عَيْنٍ لَامَّةٍ

A'ūdhu bikalimātillāhit-tāmmāti min kulli shaytānin wa hāmmah, wa min kulli 'aynin lāmmah

"I seek refuge in Allah's perfect words from every devil, every venomous creature, and every evil eye."

الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي بِنِعْمَتِهِ تَتِمُّ الصَّالِحَاتُ

Alhamdulillāhil-ladhī bi ni'matihi tatimmus-sālihāt

"Praise be to Allah by whose favour good works are accomplished."

Ibn Majah 3803

اللَّهُمَّ لَكَ الْحَمْدُ أَنْتَ كَسَوْتَنِيهِ، أَسْأَلُكَ خَيْرَهُ وَخَيْرَ مَا صُنِعَ لَهُ

Allāhumma lakal-hamdu anta kasawtanīhi, as'aluka khayrahu wa khayra mā suni'a lah

"O Allah, praise is Yours; You clothed me with it. I ask You for its good and the good it was made for."

Abu Dawud 4020

مَا شَاءَ اللَّهُ لَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللَّهِ

Māshā'Allāh, lā quwwata illā billāh

"As Allah wills; there is no power except with Allah."
