Privacy-first by design

SalahOne is built as a tool for worship, not an advertising service. Spiritual habits and location can be sensitive, so we limit collection, do not sell personal data, do not use advertising trackers, and do not share personal data for third-party advertising or profiling.

Who is responsible for your data

SalahOne is operated by IX Futuris Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 16554484), with its registered office at 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom. IX Futuris Ltd is the data controller for personal data processed through the SalahOne app and website. You can reach us at any time at hello@salahone.com for privacy questions, data requests or complaints.

Legal bases for processing (UK & EU)

Where UK GDPR or EU GDPR applies, we use consent for optional location, faith-related cloud data, marketing and OneBot AI sharing; contract necessity to provide accounts and purchases; legitimate interests for security, fraud prevention, service limits and support; and legal obligation for records we must keep. You can withdraw optional consent at any time.

What data we collect

Most features work without an account. Depending on what you choose to use, we may process: account email and optional name/display name; account and device identifiers; app preferences and consent records; city or coordinates; push token, timezone and notification settings; purchases and subscription status; bookmarks, favourites, prayer or fasting logs you choose to sync; OneBot usage metadata; and messages you send to support. We do not request contacts, your phone number or a precise home address.

Location and coordinates

Prayer times, Qibla, weather and nearby mosque features use a city or device coordinates after you choose a location method. Coordinates may be sent for the requested feature to SalahOne and providers including AlAdhan, OpenStreetMap/Nominatim/Overpass, BigDataCloud and Open-Meteo. They are not added to your profile by default. If you enable server-delivered prayer reminders, coordinates and timezone are retained with that notification subscription until you disable it or delete your account. In the native iOS app, you may separately enable Home Reminders. Its chosen coordinate and geofence are stored only on that device and used by iOS in the background to deliver entering-home and leaving-home dua notifications; SalahOne does not upload that home coordinate through this feature.

Prayer, fasting and worship data

Prayer and fasting trackers are optional. Device-only goals and counters remain in local storage. Signed-in users can choose cloud-backed features, in which case the relevant records are associated with the account. SalahOne treats faith-related records as sensitive data and provides controls in the Privacy Dashboard.

OneBot and third-party AI

OneBot is optional. Before first use, SalahOne asks permission to send your question and conversation context to OpenAI to generate an answer. SalahOne records your account ID, model and message count for limits and abuse prevention, but does not store the text of questions in OneBot analytics. A short-lived conversation copy remains on your device for up to 10 minutes. OpenAI processes submitted content under its applicable service terms and privacy safeguards. Do not submit unnecessary sensitive or identifying information.

Qibla compass usage

The Qibla feature uses your device's magnetometer and gyroscope to point toward the Kaaba. Sensor data is processed in real time and is never uploaded. The compass may require calibration; this is a local device operation with no network connection.

Service providers

SalahOne uses Supabase for account and cloud data; RevenueCat and Apple or Google for mobile purchases; OpenAI for OneBot after consent; Quran.com and UmmahAPI for Islamic catalogue content; AlAdhan for prayer and calendar data; location providers named above; and notification delivery providers. Each provider receives only the data needed for its function. Apple and Google control their own store account and payment records.

International data transfers

Some providers operate outside the UK and EEA. Where required, we rely on adequacy decisions, the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or other lawful safeguards. Details can be requested at hello@salahone.com.

Security measures

We use HTTPS everywhere, hashed credentials, and least-privilege access for our team. We do not store passwords in plain text. While no service can guarantee absolute security, we follow modern best practices and review our systems regularly to protect your information.

Retention, subscriptions and deletion

You can permanently delete your SalahOne account directly from Profile. Account-linked app records are removed with the account, except limited transaction, security or legal records that must be retained. Local preferences can be cleared in the app or by deleting it. Deleting a SalahOne account does not cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription; manage or cancel the store subscription before deletion. Anonymous statistics that cannot identify you may be retained.

Children's privacy

SalahOne is a family-friendly companion suitable for Muslims of all ages, but our services are not directed at children under the age of digital consent in their country (typically 13–16). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children without appropriate parental consent. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact hello@salahone.com and we will delete it.

Complaints & supervisory authority

If you are unhappy with how we handle your personal data, please contact us first at hello@salahone.com — we take every concern seriously. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority. In the United Kingdom, this is the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO, ico.org.uk). In the EEA, you can contact the supervisory authority in your country of residence.

Cookies & analytics

Your tracking choices, made simple

SalahOne uses the bare minimum of cookies. We separate what is required to run the site from what is optional, and you can change your mind at any time.

Essential — always on

A small local-storage entry remembers your cookie choice so we don't ask again. Additional essential cookies keep you signed in (if you create an account) and store UI preferences such as language and theme. These cannot be disabled because the site would not function without them. They contain no tracking identifiers.

Optional — anonymous analytics

On the website, optional consent allows aggregated feature-usage statistics. We do not run advertising trackers, build advertising profiles or share data with advertising networks.

Your rights

You are in control of your data

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information. Delete your account directly from Profile, or contact support@salahone.com for another privacy request.
